Major sporting events that will happen in 2024: football, cycling and more

2024 will be a year full of great events for global sports, and the Paris Olympics are seen as the most attractive event on the international stage.

The Summer Olympics are returning to the French capital after 100 years, and Paris will host the 33rd Olympiad, just a century after hosting the 1924 edition. Contrary to tradition, the opening ceremony will not be in the stadium, but along the Seine. Colombia concludes 2023 with 33 ranked players, including the women's soccer team. Paris 2024 is scheduled to start on July 26 and end on August 11.

The first major event in global sports will be on February 11 in Las Vegas. The capital of the state of Nevada in the United States will host the 58th edition of the Super Bowl. An event in which the champion of the National Football League (NFL) is determined in American football. Usher was announced as the headliner for the halftime show.

The football panorama will include the two most important national competitions in Europe and America. The 2024 European Championship reaches its seventeenth edition, and will be held with the participation of 24 teams and will be in Germany.

The 2024 Copa America will be held in the United States. There will be 14 stadiums in nine states and will host 16 teams in total. 10 from South America and 6 from the rest of the continent. Argentina, as the current world and American champions, will be led by Lionel Messi.
