Dominion, which provided vote counting equipment to several states, denied accusations that it had changed Trump’s vote in Biden’s favor, and no evidence has emerged to support the accusations.
Dominion and the other voting tech company Smartmatic have begun to fight against being named in groundless conspiracy theories. After making legal threats, Fox News and Newsmax have in recent days aired backtracking on some of the allegations made on their networks.
There was no immediate comment from those whose names appeared in the lawsuit.
His lawyers said Kummer had become the “face of false allegations.” Kummer’s name first appeared publicly in a podcast by Oltman, who claimed to have heard the strategic plea of Antifa activists. When the idea of Trump winning was raised, Aultman said that a man named “Eric from Dominion” supposedly said, “Don’t worry about the election, Trump won’t win. I made sure … that,” adding an expletive.
In an opinion piece he wrote for the Denver Post, Kummer wrote that he had no links to Antiva, was never contacted, and the idea that some of the recordings of him were “completely fabricated”.
Fact-checking website Snopes said Oltman did not cooperate in any attempts to verify his claims.
Aultman also claimed that Kummer made anti-Trump comments on Facebook. The lawsuit admits that Kummer made comments critical of the president on his Facebook page. He now says his page is inactive.
Aultman’s accusations spread after two owners and the Bondett Gate questioned him. Eric Trump tweeted about it. On and her White House correspondent Chanel Rayon spoke of them. Powell, who misidentified Kummer as working for Smartmatic, said at a news conference that Kummer’s “social media is full of hate” for Trump, and later repeated her accusations in an interview with Newsmax.

Fox News, another network popular with supporters of Trump, has not been sued, and Kommer is in fact using Fox News Tucker Carlson to support his case. The lawsuit states that Powell’s scheduled appearance on The Carlson Show did not occur after she was unable to provide evidence of her accusations.
Kummer told the Associated Press earlier this month that right-wing websites had published his photo, home address, and details about his family. The death threats began almost immediately.
He said that his father, a veteran of the army, received a handwritten letter asking, “How do you feel when you have a son who is a traitor?”
