Dazn and Matchroom close deal aimed at changing the rules of boxing

The platform offers no fewer than 16 exclusive annual Matchroom UK events to audiences around the world.

Dazn, the world’s leading global sports broadcasting platform, and Matchroom, the leading international boxing promoter, have reached a five-year global agreement aimed at changing the rules of the game.

Building on their alliance, Dazn became the global home of the Matchroom and its team of world class boxers. The deal also includes no fewer than 16 exclusive Matchroom UK fights per year, which will be available for the first time to DAZN subscribers in the UK and Ireland from July 2021.

“This historic agreement is the result of a good moment in the relationship between the two companies and the success achieved in different markets, establishing Dazen as the new home of boxing in the UK and Ireland, but also making the platform the destination and benchmark for boxing fans globally.”

Dazn will bring the matchroom UK non-stop schedule to its global service, starting July 31 with the return of the exciting evening Matchroom Fight Camp series for three consecutive weekends. All details of the programs planned for the summer and fall months will be revealed soon, including the expected matches for the national, European and world titles.

In addition, as part of a long-term joint commitment to grow boxing around the world, this alliance also represents an expansion of existing agreements between Dazn and Matchroom in Spain, Italy and the United States.
