Granada cyclist David Valero is aiming to conclude the World Cup season in Canada. Valero, who was out due to illness last weekend in the United States, was unable to continue the impressive campaign in 2023 that concluded the previous year, in which he finished first in the world. He traveled to the North American tour with the aim of regaining his feelings and shining again in the World Cup finals, but he fell ill last weekend and was unable to ride the bike in Snowshoe, where he was also defending the title.

“I started to feel bad and today I woke up and couldn’t move. “I don’t know if it was a virus, but it was a very difficult end to the year in which I was not 100%,” Bastitano said resignedly on his social networks after not being able to start in Snowshoe. The weekend now begins as Bastitano aims to get back on the bike again, already focusing on 2024, where the Valero Olympics will be his main challenge.
