Cricket tips and theories on The Masked Singer UK, including the legend of the repair shop

Joy The Masked Singer UK are finally back, bringing with them the fun of some of the craziest costumes ever seen on TV.

This year, characters like Maypole, Rat, Bigfoot and Dippy Egg compete in the hopes of winning before a panel of Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Rita Ora (plus current champion Charlie) reveal their identities. Simpson in the first episode).

In the first episode, Cricket took the stage to perform a lively rendition of Reef's Place Your Hands and won over the studio audience so they wouldn't risk elimination, before sending Weather home.

What clues are there to identify cricket?

Let's take a look at everything Cricket has said so far to see if there are any clear clues about their true identity…

  • When Cricket started speaking in his first VT, they had a very posh accent, but the panelists concluded it was most likely fake.
  • The singer showed how the makeup artist applied “gold dust” to her.
  • When you were at the cricket field, you could see numbers behind him, including '60 total', a possible reference to his name.
  • Cricket looks at a flyer mentioning the cricketers “Bow Tuffers and Mo Viggo”, the former perhaps referring to Phil Tufnell.
  • Cricket continued to use the word “happy”. Was this intentional for a reason we have yet to discover?
  • In a riddle he presented to the committee, Cricket said: “I hope my speech shocked you as much as it did when I felt dizzy while sitting on the sofa.”

Who could be the cricketer in The Masked Singer, UK?

Some big names have already been mentioned about the cricket character… and some of them seem to have legs.

After listening to Cricket's performance of Reef's Put Your Hands Up, Mo pointed out Davina's observation that the singer sounded like he was singing to the tune of a Caribbean song.

This prompted the comedian to suggest that Cricket could be musician and TV presenter Levi Roots, who rose to fame after appearing on Dragons' Den in 2007, during which he pocketed £50,000 for Reggae Reggae Sauce.

Since Levi is from Jamaica in the Caribbean, could Mo have guessed correctly?

Davina has compiled several clues to guess, the first of which appears right at the beginning of Cricket's VT when he is seen with “gold dust”.

This led the panelist to think about 'things you don't want to get rid of' or things 'too valuable to give away', which she linked to the things people bring in in the BBC series The Repair Shop with a furniture restorer. Jay. In the leadership role. Blades

Davina also noted that Cricket may appear older than he actually is and… more vaguely related… that he was standing on a “blade of grass”.

When the scoreboard appeared behind the cricket in the video evidence package, suspended singer Charlie noticed certain numbers, thinking it might mean the singer was 6ft 5ins tall.

Stewart wasn't the only cricketer mentioned, with Jonathan also mentioning David Gower, the former England cricket captain, as a possibility.

He noticed that Cricket acted like an old-school gentleman, which suited David's personality.

Additionally, he noticed the number 60 on the VT scoreboard and assumed it was close to David's age (who is actually 66).

One of Jonathan's other guesses about Cricket's identity concerns Vic Reeves, after The Masked Singer said in a mystery that he “feels dizzy sitting on the couch.”

The panelist mentioned that Vic released the first single Dizzy in 1991 from his only album I Will Cure You.
