Zacatecas, Zack, May 2, 2023. – The Zacatecan Council of Science, Technology and Innovation (Cozcyt) and the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT) Zacatecas strengthen their institutional relationship, with the aim of collaborating in local scientific and technological development, a commitment made by Governor David Monreal Avila, as a way to generate well-being and progress for the state.

Cozcyt’s board of directors, chaired by its owner, Hammurabi Gamboa, attended CIMAT, located in Quantum City of Knowledge, to offer programs in its subject areas to researchers and students: talent development in science, technology and innovation; innovation and regional development; The spread and dissemination of science and the quantum city of knowledge.

Drawing from institutional coordination, Hammurabi Gamboa highlighted that Cozcyt has provided various benefits to CIMAT, among them mentioning the collaboration to organize HackCIMAT 2022, resources from the Cozcyt Support Program to publish the scientific article “Classification of Difficulty Levels of Working Memory Tasks, Through the Use of Pupillary Response”, and to attend the 2023 Championship National Robotics, among others.

CIMAT Director Carlos Lara highlighted the positive relationship that this public research center of the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACyT) maintains with Cozcyt to achieve its goals of generating, transferring and applying specialized knowledge in the fields of mathematics and probability.
