Fortunately for Perez, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc are also out of the competition, so he will not be left behind in the Drivers' Championship, where he ranks fifth with 107 points.

Before the Canadian Grand Prix, Red Bull officially renewed his contract for another two years. However, his performance was poor in the last three circuits.
