A cannabis medicine clinic operates in Tolhuin

The city of Tolhön is home to the country's second comprehensive cannabis medicine clinic, a joint effort between the local municipality and the NGO Tolhuen.

This important service, which is made possible thanks to the clinical apparatus with which the municipality has cooperated with the above-mentioned NGO, has the main objective of accompanying the residents of Tolhön in their acquired right to obtain medical cannabis, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 27350.

Those wishing to access this service can do so by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Community Integration Center (CIC), at Ramón Carrillo 1680, Provincias Unidas neighborhood.

Initially, the clinic will focus on serving priority groups, such as the elderly and people with disabilities. This attention will be closely coordinated with the Municipality's Social Development Directorate, thus ensuring an effective response adapted to the specific needs of these groups.

This cooperation agreement between the municipality and the Cannabis Support Network reinforces the state's commitment to ensuring access to health for the entire community. Moreover, it represents a clear example of how cooperation between the public sector and civil society can generate innovative and beneficial initiatives for the population.
