The 4th Talavera de la Reina Science Week kicks off

The Research Committee of the Talavera de la Reina Integrated Region, in cooperation with the Research Support Unit, has organized the fourth edition of its science week, which will take place from 3-7 October.

Thus, again this year, the Research Unit is committed to disseminating the research work of professionals in the region, as well as bringing science closer to the general public through open activities, in which educational institutions and research centers participate.

“Devoting part of our time to research is one of the pillars of the gradual improvement of healthcare provided to patients,” emphasized the research coordinator of the Integrated Health District of Talavera de la Reina, Joaquin Antonio Alvarez Gregory.

Thus, Dr. Alvarez Gregory noted that after experiencing previous editions, “the aim is to take forward and extend the work of scholarly publishing to society at large, as well as to recognize and reward the research work of professionals in the area, bringing their daily care routine into line with the teaching and aspects of R + D + I”.

Evaluation

From October 3, at the University Hospital Nuestra Señora del Prado de Talavera, the science photography exhibition / competition will be open to the public, which this year is dedicated to “curiosity”.

For his part, Dr. Alvaro Moreno Ancello, Allergist at Talavera Hospital, will present on October 4 the “Microbiota and Allergy” conference in the assembly hall of the Health Center.

The following day, at the Talavera Centro Health Center, three small workshops will be held for applied research on fall prevention, foot fall analysis and new techniques applied to rehabilitation.
