In Mexico, the hotel chain RCD has opened Residence Inn by Marriott Playa del Carmen, a space intended to meet the needs of travelers looking for alternative accommodation options in a post-pandemic context. After incorporating remote work, the new resort offers 149 spacious rooms with separate areas for living, working and resting, among other developments.
Located in the Riviera Maya, the new hotel has been designed so that its guests can enjoy extended stays, whether they are executives or vacationers. Those who travel for business, in particular, have the advantage of having spacious rooms for their errands.
In addition, for those who have the possibility to combine business with pleasure, the new resort of the RCD hotel chain has separate spaces for relaxation with the family. Even with pets that move as another member.
The experience includes other strengths such as American breakfast service, self-service laundry, gym, outdoor pool, over 50 square meters of events and a 24-hour convenience store.
Regarding the proposal, RCD Hotels’ Director of Latin America, Lionel Reyes, expressed: “The strength of Residence Inn by Marriott Playa del Carmen is that it is designed for clients who seek independence. So you can experience accommodation to your own standards and at your own pace, which is the most important thing.”
Meanwhile, about the resort’s website, Reyes comments: “Residence Inn by Marriott Playa del Carmen is close to all the attractions of the Mexican Caribbean, such as parks, rock outposts, archaeological sites, and nightclubs.” He recommends the following: “Being in the heart of the Riviera Maya, it is also presented as a great option for groups of students, teens and young couples, where they can visit all those places and then recharge their energy and strength in the comfort of the hotel.”
On his part, Arturo Cruz, Director of Sales for Residence Inn by Marriott Playa del Carmen, continues: The Mexican Caribbean is one of the major vacation destinations for domestic and international travelers, as in addition to its natural wealth, it has great air connectivity that attracts significant investment and is a major factor in the city’s growth. “.
Similarly, regarding the distinguishing features of the new space, it expands: “One of its most important characteristics is about the wonderfully spacious suites, which makes the experience a unique and completely different product.”
And he concludes: There is another feature that should not be forgotten and it is directly related to the accommodation. Because the longer the period, the greater the discount in favor of the guest.”
Of note, it is the third Residence Inn by Marriott to open in Mexico, after the two openings in Merida and Cancun, which took place in March 2020 and January 2021, respectively.
In this way, it also joins more than 860 hotels in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Central America for the leading brand in the long-stay segment.
