Barbie tops the UK home entertainment charts

The UK-based Association for Motion Picture Sound (AMPS) has announced nominations for its 2024 Excellence in Audio Awards. Final voting will begin on January 15 and end on January 25. In addition to the supervising team members, AMPS also honored the lead voice assistant/boom operator and the supervising dialogue editor/ADR. “The nominees demonstrate an exceptional combination of creativity and technical mastery,” said AMPS President Andrew Wilson. “These exceptional films highlight the diverse and dynamic landscape of sound work in films, each presenting different audio requirements executed to a remarkable standard, making the decision for AMPS voters “A difficult decision.”
