Zacatecas, Zack, February 26, 2023. – The government headed by State President David Monreal Avila is ready to start implementing its strategic programs for the year 2023, which aim to spread, disseminate, bring closer, embrace and promote science, technology and innovation (CTI), to generate well-being and progress. to Zacatecas.

The initiation of five programs to be operated in the state government, through the Zacatecan Council for Science, Technology and Innovation, chaired by the Director General, Hammurabi Gamboa, takes place after the approval of the operating rules at the second extraordinary session of the Cozcyt Council of Board members; Four, by consensus of members and one by majority.

The unanimously approved operating rules are in line with the country’s strategic programs Cozcyt Scholarships and Cozcyt Support, to promote the development of specialized human capital and under the responsibility of the Department of Talent Development in Science, Technology and Innovation.

In addition, the project of the Operational Rules of the Program for the allocation of support for young students who collaborate in the activities of the Interactive Center of Science and Technology of Zacatecas with a gender perspective, known as the Zigzag Scholarships, has been supported.

At the meeting, the operational rules of the Incúbatec support program are approved, through which youth entrepreneurship 4.0 is encouraged, whose winners receive economic resources and advice to incubate their technology company. This policy is promoted by the Department of Innovation and Regional Development.

The guidelines for the State Science and Technology System (SECyC) were approved by a majority vote, which was put in place with the support of Governor David Monreal to recognize local scientists and their contribution, with the awarding of the State Science, Technology and Innovation Award and the José Árbol y Bonilla State Award for Young Scientific, Technological or Innovative Talent.
