WhatsApp places cases to report new updates

WhatsApp launched a new tweak this week in the app: from now on it will report its updates from the ‘Status’ tab, a function initially designed for the user to share photos or content that vanishes within 24 hours.

In the premiere of the new composition, the social network released four “cases” in which information related to the privacy of conversations was conveyed. For example, it can be seen that WhatsApp keeps personal conversations encrypted end-to-end, that is, they cannot be read or heard by others.

WhatsApp now appears on the States tab! We will inform you by these means of new jobs and updates, ”says one of the panels.

The new configuration, available on both Android and iOS, aims to impart security to users. The company made a decision to strengthen its controls and communications after reporting an update to its privacy policy at the beginning of the year, which prompted users to decide to leave the app and switch to other platforms like Signal and Telegram.

“Our commitment to your privacy continues. WhatsApp cannot read or listen to your personal conversations because they are end-to-end encrypted,” reads another from the posted messages.
