UNLP Medicine will define the first postgraduate degree in medical cannabis research

The Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of La Plata will determine the first postgraduate course in prescriptions and medical cannabis research. The training proposal is aimed at physicians, veterinarians and dentists, and will address the topic including ethical, legal and academic aspects.

The organizers explained that in recent years, patients’ interest in the use of phyto-cannabinoid preparations and their analogues in the therapeutic approach has increased for various disorders such as pain, depression, anxiety, sleep, appetite, satiety, autism, neurological and rheumatic diseases. The postgraduate course entitled “Prescription and Research Training on Medical Cannabis” will start next month, under the virtual method with theoretical and practical workshops. It will run from September 2021 to July 2022.
