UK indices closed higher; UK 100, Up 0.78% By

© Reuters UK indices closed higher; UK 100 up 0.78% – UK stock exchange closed higher on Thursday; Sector gains, led indicators higher.

GBP/USD fell 0.17% to 1.3378, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8567.

The dollar index rose 0.25% to 95.078.
