Mexico City. – Gold Medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, Juan Diego Garcia Lopezwill conclude its competitive year at the Manchester 2022 Para Taekwondo Grand Prix, which will take place from October 17-21 in England, United Kingdom, with the aim of maintaining first place in the world rankings for the K44-70kg class, currently an achievement.

The competition in Manchester is a G-6 class competition, which will award 60 points in the international standings to the gold winners, bringing together the best exponents in the world.
“The goal is to stay in the ranking and the jackpot is the events that award the most points. Right now, the preparations were even stronger because the competitions were so close together’,” said Sinaloan, who was crowned at the Paris Grand Prix in early September.
García López, the current US Paralympic Paralympic champion, continues his training at the National Center for the Development of Athletic Talent and High Performance (CNAR), a CONADE complex, under the guidance of national coach Jannet Alegría and technical advice from triple Olympic medalist, Maria del Rosario Espinosa.

The 2022 Manchester Grand Prix will have five selected teams on the orders of coach Janet Alegria: Claudia Romero Rodriguez in the K44-47kg, Jessica Perines Garcia Quijano in the K44-52kg, Juan Diego Garcia Lopez in the K44-70kg, Luis Mario Nájera Vleeschower in K44 -80 kg and Fernanda Vargas Fernández in K44 +65 kg.
