However, it is also important to be careful. While Netflix’s cheap, ad-supported plan could debut in less than two months, it won’t be worldwide. This means that, initially, it will only reach a few countries. The full list is not yet known, although the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and France have been mentioned as part of the first to receive it.
At the moment, Netflix has neither confirmed nor denied the possible launch of its ad subscription on November 1. The date in question was originally mentioned in a Wall Street Journal report on the business strategy the company would take to add advertisers.
The mentioned media indicated that the company, according to one of its sources, intends for brands to commit to advertising for a whole year, and to complete the order by the end of September by paying in advance. It was known that Netflix was going to put a cap of $20 million annually for each company willing to advertise on its cheap plan.
