They expand their business to sweeten Queretaro and Latin America

The state’s governor, Mauricio Curie, was the guest of honor when announcing the expansion of the North American offices of Mars Wrigley, the world’s leading manufacturer of chocolate. It turns out that it is from this space that the operations of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean will be integrated with all its brands of chocolate, a measure that is part of its growth strategy and strengthens its presence in the Queretaro.

Kuri González emphasized that with this expansion plan it becomes clear that in Querétaro it is possible to grow, because there are certain conditions that pay for investments. From this standpoint, he expressed his thanks for the confidence of the Mars Group for its continued belief in the state to implement its development projects; They emphasized that here they will continue to create the best conditions to continue their path of success.

Mars Wrigley North Latin America General Manager, Gabriel Fernández, celebrated that as these offices expand, they enhance the Latin American business of Querétaro, as from here they seek to respond to the integration of Mars Chocolate, Wrigley and Turin operations in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean; He stressed that Querétaro provides security and the possibility to work, but above all, he said, there is a firm belief in the development of companies, so this measure reinforces the company’s commitment to the state.

For his part, Secretary of Sustainable Development Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, indicated that the company’s expansion represents economic growth and the creation of good jobs, as it invested in four years more than three thousand and 500 million pesos in sweets and pet food factories. With this, he added, the company’s 10-year goal is to increase the value of the brand to one billion dollars.

While Mars Wrigley’s Head of Emerging Markets, Blas McKevar, said this expansion project represents a success and growth for 2,500 employees who will benefit from greater coordination of operations led by Queretaro.

It is worth noting that Mars is a family business with more than a century of history, headquartered in McLean, Virginia, United States, operating in more than 80 countries, with sales exceeding $40 billion annually, and lagging behind some of the most popular chocolate brands such as Snickers and M&Ms, Milky Way, Turin, and Bunnies.
