The region manages its integration into the European Association of Historic Thermal Cities – Murcia – San Javier

The Ministry of the Presidency, Tourism, Culture and Sports has benefited from its participation in the 20th edition of the Termatalia exhibition to show in this presentation its resources as a thermal, health and well-being destination and progress in negotiations to be part of the European Association of Historic Towns and Hot Springs (EHTTA), endorsed by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

On this occasion, the region attended this meeting in Galicia with its own podium, in which the Association of Health and Medical Tourism of the Region of Murcia (Costa Calida Cares) and the San Pedro del Pinatar Company and the San Pedro del Pinatar Company also attended. Likewise, they established contacts with representatives of other leading destinations in Spain in the field of health tourism to assess possible collaborations and submit joint applications for participation in the Next Generation Financing Program.

With the aim of doubling the scope of the regional medical and health tourism offering, the community launched a series of marketing agreements this year that will improve the visibility of this product, its facilities and treatments, both in Spain and in the rest of the world.
