Guatemala City, December 2 (AGN). Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINX) Announce the license of the Consulate General of Guatemala in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Giovanni Castillo, representing the Government of Guatemala. The ceremony was attended by local authorities who welcomed the establishment of this new consular mission.
It was also explained that this new space aims to provide coverage to more than 8,000 citizens residing in the provinces of Ontario, Manitoba, and the territory of Nunavut.

Consular services
Through this headquarters, various services will be provided to Guatemalans living in the region, including passport delivery, civil registration, consular protection, immigration assistance and legal guidance.
According to the ministry, with the opening of this consulate, there are three new consulates licensed in Canada by the Guatemalan government. This is with the aim of providing consular attention and assistance in what is required for citizens residing in that country.
The Consulate also seeks to pay special attention to Guatemalans who are part of Canada’s temporary labor mobility programs. This is part of the central government’s commitments to promoting safe, orderly, regular and circular migration.
Likewise, through these actions, the Government of Guatemala affirms its commitment to assist more Guatemalans in the United States and Canada with procedures and other matters requiring consular support.
It was also clarified that for more information and to resolve doubts, citizens can communicate through the various official Minex media.
