The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Valencia (UV) hosted a book presentation ‘Faculty of medicine. Five centuries of historywhich honors its 500-year history, at a ceremony attended by President Valencia yearZimo Puig.
This work was directed and coordinated by Josep Luis Barona, Professor of History of Science at this academic center, which is also reminiscent of Juan Pesette Alexandre, President and Professor of Forensic Medicine at the aforementioned university.
This publication is the result of the collaboration of twenty historians from the universities of Valencia, Miguel Hernández de Elche (Alicante) and Cattolica de Valencia, as well as several institutes of the Higher Center for Scientific Research (CSIC).
The presentation event also included the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Mavi Mestre, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Javier Choro, as well as the interventions of the President of the Courts of Valencia, Enrique Moreira, and the aforementioned Josep Luiz. Barona.
