The Minister of Tourism of Jujuy, Federico Posadas, highlighted in an interview with 3 . series Who are very happy to win the nomination.

He appreciated, “It is a city of dreams, full of charm. It is an area that was opened to tourism a few years ago. It is an example of how to achieve the coexistence of nature, culture and concern for the environment.”

In this sense, he indicated that tourists can live the experience that the indigenous peoples had, with the most authentic Andean culture.

The city is located at an altitude of 3000 meters above sea level, in the high region of Quebrada de Humahuaca.

“There are women doing handicrafts, which is the famous multi-colored Kaspala iceberg,” he said, emphasizing that you can also enjoy the ancestral art of the place. Just as it was recently opened for tourism, it also contains hotels, within a “magical landscape that separates and connects with itself”.

It is a small town with no more than 600 inhabitants. The minister stressed that tourism made it possible to avoid the abandonment of many young people who went to major cities in search of new horizons, where they can now devote themselves to hotels, culinary arts and other activities related to receiving tourists.
