Phil Necro Runs Away – MLB Trade Rumors

Brave legend Phil Necro has passed away at the age of 81. Braves and Major League Baseball released statements to commemorate the Hall-of-Famer …

Brave:

Our hearts mourned the death of our dear friend Phil Necro. Knucksie was woven into a Braves fabric, first in Milwaukee and then in Atlanta. Phil puzzled the hitters on the field and was later the first to join our community activities. It was during community and fan activities where he was communicating with fans as if they were long lost friends.

It has been a constant presence throughout the years, in our club, our alumni activities and throughout Braves Country and we will be forever grateful to be such an important part of our organization.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Nancy and his children Philip, John, Michael, and his two grandsons Chase and Emma.

From MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred:

But even more than his trademark durability, Phil will be remembered as one of the most genius people in our game. He has always represented his sport extraordinarily, and he will miss him greatly. On behalf of Major League Baseball, I offer my deepest condolences to Phil’s family, friends, and the many fans he has earned throughout his life in our national hobby.

More is coming…
