Panteras is arming itself with its imported fifth

Panteras de Miranda adds its fifth foreign player to the Professional Basketball League (SPB) 2023. Julian Washburn.

The 31-year-old forward has experience in both the NBA and German, New Zealand and British basketball. In the latter, he averaged 7.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Washburn experienced NBA action during the 2018-2019 season with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Mirandino’s management is confident in the versatility of the 2.03-meter player for the upcoming SPB season.

“He (Julian Washburn) is strong and this also allows him to contribute to defense, without diminishing that he shoots well from distance,” said Jean-Carlos Martínez, general manager of Panteras de Miranda.

“Not everyone can play in the NBA, if he does, it’s because he has to have something special and hopefully he can exploit all of those qualities here in the league with us,” he said.

Julian Washburn is the fifth imported member of the quintet led by Daniel Swan for this campaign. Elijah Minnie, Joel Kindred, Evangelos Mantzaris, and Avery Holmes round out the list.
