During the third quarter of last year, exports from the sub-sector of manufacturing accessories, electrical appliances and electrical power generation equipment in Nuevo Leon amounted to $1,838 million, up 12.5 percent over the same period in 2020.

The National Institute of Statistics and Geography reported that with this amount, which represents 26.2 percent of the sector’s total exports, the entity ranked first nationally.

He added that in the relevant quarter, Nuevo Leon’s total exports amounted to 10,571 million dollars, an increase of 19.5 percent over the same quarter of 2020, and it is the fourth most contributor to the state in this sector, with 9.7 percent of the total exports.

Jesus Garza, Managing Director of Soluciones Financieras Gamma, noted that the recovery of Nuevo Leon’s economy depends on the external sector, supported by the strength of the US economy, given that 80 percent of the country’s exports go to this country.

Despite the fact that the entity’s largest exports were related to activities related to the manufacture of transportation equipment, it added $ 3.558 million, up 4.5 percent from the third quarter of 2020, representing 9.7 percent of the national total, surpassing Coahuila and Guanajuato. .

“The states that stood out for their participation in the exports of this sector in the reference period were Coahuila 22.2 percent, Guanajuato 12.8 percent, Nuevo Leon 9.7 percent, Chihuahua 8.7 percent, and Puebla 7.4 percent,” the agency said.
