Andy Murray would again work on Evan Lendl as his manager, about four and a half years after his second term ended for their second collaboration.
Murray’s representative announced on Friday that the 34-year-old Scottish tennis player and Lendl have agreed to return to work together over the next few months.
Their partnership produced three Grand Slam singles titles and two consecutive Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2016 for Murray, the only player to hold more than one Olympic singles title.
The duo now plan to conduct a training phase in the United States for several weeks after the Miami Open, which is played on hard surfaces and ends on April 3.
As Tour Tennis moves to Europe for the clay court that culminated in the French Open from May 22 to June 5, Murray will prepare for the grass season. Wimbledon begins on June 27.
The Scotsman also plans to hire another coach, who will work with Lendl and travel with Murray.
Murray is currently 84th in the world rankings and is 8-6 in 2022, with a loss in his second game in each of his last four tournaments, including the Australian Open in January.
Murray has dealt with a series of injuries in recent years, including a series of hip problems that required two surgeries.
Over the years, Murray has been coached by Amelie Mauresmo, Brad Gilbert, and Jimmy Delgado, among others.
