Several shooting incidents left 3 dead and 2 injured south of Vancouver.
The events took place in the early hours of Monday morning in the city of Langley.
The suspect, a 28-year-old who was identified by police on Monday night, is among the dead after being shot by police.
At a press conference on Monday afternoon, Police said the shooting took place over a period of six hoursstarting around midnight.
In the first shooting, near 203A Street and Fraser Highway, a woman was injured and taken to hospital in critical condition.
Around 3:40 a.m., a man was shot and killed at Creek Stone Place.
Police said a second man was killed in a Logan Avenue bus circuit at 5:03 a.m.
Shortly thereafter, around 5:45 a.m., police found a fourth man with a gunshot wound to the leg near Willowbrook Mall at 200 Street and Langley Bypass.
Around this time, police found and shot the suspect in the Langley Baypass area.
There were also reports that shots may have been fired at many closed or vacant shops during the incident.
At this time, the motive behind the multiple shootings in South Vancouver is not known, nor whether there was any relationship between the deceased suspect and the victims.
