The Ciutadella cyclist who has been enrolled in the ranks of PCM Team Oviedo for a few seasons, Ruth Moll, has fulfilled all expectations and declared the brand new champion of the 2022 Spanish XC Cup of cyclocross in its M40 class. A feat achieved by a Menorcan cyclist when there were still two tests left to finish the course and in a new year to frame Ruth Moll.
In the women’s Master 40 tournament, Moll achieved her 1,000th victory of the season this weekend, making her mathematically the winner of the Spanish Cup, ahead of her main rivals, Verleigh Clarin (Solcam) and Felisa Aries (ADARSA).
On Sunday, November 20, the city of Alcobendas in Madrid held the seventh round of the Spanish Cyclocross Cup, out of the nine that make up the competition. Anabel Segura Park, located in the Arroyo de la Vega region, was once again an exceptional witness to the best national cyclocross as Ruth Moll would end up winning in her class M 40, which with that win brought the Spanish title in this national event. Now Ruth Moll will focus on her big challenge of the year, the World Specialty Championships, which will take place this coming December in the UK and which Moll will attend with the ‘thorn’ stuck in 2021, when there is a physical malaise refusing to climb to the world podium.
World Master CX 2022
The CX Masters World Championship is the most important event for cyclists over the age of 35 and Moll – like the last 2021 – has been preparing well for some time and looking great, facing the UK.
