International golf courses in Talavera

On Tuesday, the City Council hosted the presentation of the 11th edition of the Alps de las Castillas, which takes place at Palomarejos Golf from Monday and will run through Saturday. An international tournament comes to Talavera for the first time and in which about 300 representatives of the event have arrived in the city among players, referees or family members.
Alps de las Castilla will bring together 132 players at Palomarejos Golf, 86 of whom are from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany or the United States. In short, 14 countries meet in this competition.
The Mayor, Tita García Elez, opened the event and highlighted that “any activity that generates growth in the city is not only welcome, but also appreciated.” In the case of this golf competition, “We have this wonderful course, which we should not only be proud of, but also value.”

He provided the information that 40,000 euros will be distributed in prizes, of which about 6,000 will go to the winner. The competition will start on Thursday with the participation of 132 players. On Saturday they will play the first forty and draw after the cut.
