‘I May Destroy You’ crowned Baftas TV winner

London, June 6 (EFE). Winner of the 67th Bafta Awards on British TV, ‘I May Destroy You’, ahead of the favorite, ‘Small Ax’, was crowned with two of the most prestigious awards. Important: Best Miniseries and Best Actress.

The real winner of the ceremony is British-born Ghanaian Michaela Coyle, who won both awards for her work as creator, director and heroine in this dramatic comedy that chronicles Arabella’s struggle to relive a rocky night.

This BBC One and HBO production continued in the wake of the draw starting on May 24 at the awards gala for most artistic categories, winning awards for Best Editing, Best Direction, and Best Dramatic Screenplay.

The television anthology “Small Ax” about the racism that plagued the black British community between 1962 and 1989, began as one of the favorites in the edition with 15 nominations, especially after receiving 5 out of 9 art awards.

However, he was only able to add one award to his record: Best Supporting Actor, which went to Malachi Kirby for his role as activist Darkus Howe in “Mangrove”.

Among the biggest losers of the night was the Netflix series about the British crown, “The Crown,” which didn’t take any of the four awards it was choosing: Best Drama Series, Best Actor (Josh O’Connor), Best Supporting. Actor (Tobias Menzies) and Best Supporting Actress (Helena Bonham Carter).
