How to test the app and what features it offers

The way we work and organize ourselves has changed over time. In the increasingly digital (and fast paced) world we live in, we have a need to grapple with it Dynamic work environments. For example, collaborating in real time with a project team that is physically dispersed, but online.

Notion was one of the first companies to respond to this need with a true Swiss Army productivity knife. And it is this success that has penetrated deeply into organizations at the level of IBM, Pixar or McDonalds. Microsoft does not want to be left behind. Office developers are working on a proposal of their own called the Microsoft Loop.

We can now try Loop, Microsoft’s idea

We’ve had to wait a while before we can start testing the equivalent of Microsoft’s idea. Although those from Redmond presented their tool in 2021, they were not finally able to access a file experimental copy. We are not before the final application, but as we will see later we can already test it.

If you haven’t heard of Loop before, you might be wondering what this app has to offer. First of all, we have to mention that the essence of Loop is very different from what we know from the Office suite throughout its lifetime and from the applications that are part of it, such as OneNote. We are facing a future touch suggestion that is useful for many, many things.

There are three pillars in Loop: Components, Pages, and Environments. When we talk about ingredients we refer to items like a A text block, schedule, or to-do list. Pages, on the other hand, are the result of one or more components, and environments are common areas of components or pages.

This way we can create projects according to our needs, even using templates, and invite people to collaborate. Changes are applied in real time. We can edit a column in the table and our teammates (maximum of 50) are responsible for editing other components of the environment.

Those from Redmond, who have embraced AI and brought it to Bing as well Loop will feed the AI. This application will contain the new Microsoft 365 Copilot, that is, we will have a kind of ChatGPT that will help us exchange ideas, write articles, receive suggestions, and more.

How to get started with Microsoft Loop
