He beat México Femenil Sub-20 and finished leading the pack

Mexico City. – The U-20 women’s national team showed their power by defeating Costa Rica 3-0 to finish top of Group B with 9 points.

For the team captained by Ana Laura Galindo, the game was easy, with ample control of the ball and imposing conditions at all times. In the 15th minute, Maribel Flores, who had a game with several options up front, opened the scoring.

Five minutes later, Flores emerged again to make it 2-0, practically eliminating his rivals. The Costa Rican team was not able to straighten the balance and ended the match with convulsions.

Before the half-time break, Montserrat Saldivar made it 3-0, which left no doubt about the good management of the game by the Tricolor team.

In overtime, Alice Soto scored the fourth after taking advantage of a rebound, but minutes later, Hayley Gordon’s misdirected goal was disallowed by the video assistant referee. The national team suffered the loss of Blanca Muñoz, who tore ligaments on Sunday.

The national team will face Canada in the semi-finals, although we still have to wait for Tuesday’s duel between the United States and Maple Leaf Selection.
