Happy 6th Anniversary, Pokémon GO!

Coaches:

Today is a very special day, no less than the sixth anniversary of Pokemon GO! What an adventure!

Pokémon GO has been able to unite you as trainers in many unimaginable ways, whether that’s encouraging you to hike in the mountains, discovering new places in your area, or catching, trading and fighting your own Pokémon. This is how you make friends and bonds with each other and with your Pokemon!

But we don’t rest on our laurels now, it’s our 6th anniversary and we have anniversary event! Even Pokemon like Charizard and Pikachu dressed appropriately for the occasion.

If you are looking for a place to celebrate in person, you have Pokemon Go Fest: Seattle and the Pokemon Go Fest: Sapporo. Tickets are still available for both events, so stay tuned for details of the international final event taking place on August 27!

Also, we wanted to share the illustration for this year’s anniversary. Designed by Yusuke Kozaki (@kymg on Twitter)He is also responsible for designing the Pokémon GO characters. We can’t wait to see what Year 6 of Pokémon GO has in store for us. Let’s go!
