Haiti crushes Bermuda and falls into the group of the United States, Canada and Martinique

Fort Lauderdale (Florida, USA), July 6 (EFE). – Striker Frantzde Piero signed a hat-trick on Tuesday that paved the way for Haiti’s 4-1 win over Bermuda, and their move to Group B in the Gold Cup. Paired with the teams of the United States, Canada and Martinique.

The match, which was held at DRV PNK Stadium, in Fort Lauderdale (Florida), had no equations.

Piero collects five goals against Bermuda in two games. In the 2019 championship stage, the 2-1 victory was decided by a double.

Piero opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when he received a pass from Dickens Nazon and beat goalkeeper Del Ive.

The goal revived the Haitian game and five minutes later, Pierrot scored again 2-0 for his personal goal with a powerful right-footed shot.

But 3-0 was missing and so was Pierrot when the 34th minute of the first half ended with another excellent shot on goal.

Bermuda looked to enter the game in the second half and Nucky Wells was ready to do so when in the 53rd minute he had his first clear chance to score.

But Haiti’s goalkeeper, Brian Sylvester, prevented him with a big intervention, until the 80th minute, if Wales could decide what would be the honor goal for Bermuda.

However, any chance of a late comeback from Bermuda was thwarted when Dickens Nazon, in the 87th minute, scored what would be the final 4-1.

Haiti reached the Gold Cup for the eighth time, its second in a row after finishing third in the 2019 edition, in its best ranking in the CONCACAF main tournament.
