Governor Zamora inaugurated the modernization of the surgical unit of the regional hospital

With the aim of improving the services of the public health system, Governor Gerardo Zamora inaugurated this Friday afternoon the restoration and repair work of the surgical block of the “Dr. Ramon Carrillo” Regional Hospital, located in the southern part of the capital. .

Health Minister Natividad Nassif. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Cesar Monti, as well as authorities from various regions of the province’s portfolio, who were received by the Director of the Regional Hospital, Gerardo Montenegro.

After the strips were cut, the district chief toured the surgical block facilities where five new operating rooms, a state-of-the-art recovery and postoperative care room, support areas such as sterilization, sedimentation, accommodation area for guard personnel, door and stretcher for transportation at both ends of the block, were incorporated.

In addition to the complementary thermomechanical, electrical and mechanism installations to develop the activity in this place, safety barriers have been implemented and strategies have been developed to reduce unnecessary damage associated with medical care.

In terms of supervision and maintenance, work was done on new air handling systems, electrical safety, and a surgical block management and supervision system was implemented to integrate complementary facilities that ensured correct performance and maintenance of each service.

With regard to heritage security also, CCTV and automatic fire detection systems have been put into operation.
