Film director and producer Evan Reitman, who directed the popular movie “Ghostbusters” (ghost busters) On Monday, local media reported that he died at the age of 75 in California.

The Animal House producer also died “in his sleep” last Saturday night at his home in Montecito, California, according to his relatives.

This supernatural comedy starring Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Rick Moranis has grossed nearly $300 million worldwide, and earned two Academy Award nominations.

The film spawned a franchise that later included a television series and a sequel such as the latest “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”, directed in 2021 by his son Jason Reitman, who followed in his footsteps as a director.
