On August 15, Francisco Llorda’s departure will be effective of the presidency of the Colombian Oil and Gas Association (ACP), after retiring after nine years in office.
After the decision of Lloreda, the Colombian economist, academic and politician Frank Joseph Pearl Gonzalez He is the person appointed to be in charge of the entity.

In 2006, Pearl served as the Senior Presidential Adviser on the Social and Economic Reintegration of Armed Groups and Individuals. Three years later, he became High Commissioner for Peace during the government of Alvaro Uribe.
Between September 2011 and September 2012 He held the position of Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development.
In addition, he was a member of the government team that led the peace process with the FARC fighters.

Pearl graduated as an economist from Universidad Los Andes, an institution where she also completed a graduate degree in Finance and one in Financial Law.
Likewise, he has an MBA from Richard Ivey Business School in Canada and another in Public Administration from Harvard University.
