Economist Fernando Larraín takes over as the new Director of the UAI Executive MBA

Fernando Larraín Aninat has held the position of Director of the Executive MBA (EMBA) Program at College of Business Administration UAI. To date, he has been a visiting professor at College of Business AdministrationAnd between 2008 and 2014 he was part of its faculty.

Fernando is an economist from B Universidad Católica and MA in Public Affairs from Princeton University and is currently an international consultant on social protection and employment issues, a non-resident fellow of the Atlantic Council and a board member of the International Center for Pension Administration (Toronto Canada).

Between 2016 and 2022, he was Director General of the AFP Association. He has also served as a public policy advisor to the Ministries of Economy and Energy, and an advisor on strategy and public policy to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

Between 2003 and 2005 he was an advisor to the presidency on public policy issues, and between 2002 and 2003, an advisor to the Minister of Finance on economic policy issues.

Fernando was also a founding member of the Chilean Public Policy Association and a founding member and president of the Trabajo en la Calle Foundation. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Fundación La Fuente.
