Culture Minister meets UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan

The Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Anar Karimov, met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom, James Sharp, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Azerbaijan. Director of the British Council of Azerbaijan Nargiz Hajiyeva and Artistic Director Dilara Ibrahimova also participated in the meeting, AZERTAC reports.

Anar Karimov expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his valuable service in promoting friendly relations between the UK and Azerbaijan during his tenure.

Ambassador James Sharp also stressed that he highly values ​​the relations between the two countries based on close cooperation and sincere friendship.

The minister considered the memorandum of understanding signed between the British Council and the Federation of Creative Industries of Azerbaijan an important step on the road to fruitful cooperation in this field. He spoke about the benefits of the “Creative Spark” program covering the years 2018-2023, which aims to develop creative industries.

The meeting continued with a series of topics of interest to both parties.
