Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Neuquén Police Forensic Department – Neuquén Police

A memorial ceremony was held today to mark the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Medico-Legal Section of the Neuquén Police. The ceremony was presided over by the Chief of Police, Commissioner General Carlos Tomás Díaz Pérez, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner General Walter San Martín and other members of the Supreme Advisory Council.

The Neuquén Police Music Band celebrated the start of the event by singing the national and regional anthems. After that, the authorized head of the division, Dr. Gabriela Nogara, addressed a few words to those present, in which she recalled the beginnings of the establishment of the division and highlighted the hard work done by the employees under her responsibility.

The Supervisor of the Investigations, Commissioner General Dante Catalán, then spoke, giving a brief summary of the historical background of the Department up to its current status. During the ceremony, police officers working in the Forensic Medicine Division were honored by presenting a logo and shield, which will be part of their official uniform from today.

One of the most emotional moments of the event was the honor given to Mrs. Maria Della Cha, granddaughter of Dr. Sergio Toledo, the first registered physician to provide services at the institution. In honor of Dr. Toledo, the Forensic Medicine Department will now bear his name. In this sense, a plaque was discovered in the unit building commemorating Dr. Toledo and his legacy.

The ceremony concluded with a meal in which all attendees participated, celebrating a decade of commitment and professionalism in the Neuquén Police Legal Medicine Department.
