As a family destination, the Caribbean and Latin America Director of Barbados Tourism Marketing explained, “The island offers more than 50 gorgeous white sand beaches. It is home to extensive nature experiences and wildlife ideal for families, from caves and mountains like Animal Flower Cave, to botanical gardens like Hunte’s Gardens, underwater experiences, hiking and more.

Polo is the most popular sport in Barbados, which attracts teams from all over the world, and cricket, the national sport of the Caribbean. Families can visit the Kensington Oval, Barbados’ oldest cricket ground.

Regarding the measures taken by covid-19, Garrett made it clear that rapid antigen tests are acceptable to enter the country. There is also no quarantine period for travelers with all valid vaccinations and negative results.

“Widely common rapid tests are readily available in the major source markets of Barbados, and results are usually delivered within an hour. Rapid antigen tests for entry into Barbados should be performed by a healthcare provider at least one day prior to arrival in Barbados,”

Along with rapid antigen tests, covid-19 PCR tests conducted at least three days before arrival in Barbados are also on the list of approved tests for entry into the country.

The island is easily accessible via Miami via American Airlines. The direct flight is just under four hours. (We will be back soon). The island is connected to Latin America through the airline Copa.
