At the time, Joe Biden and his team hosted the entourage from Canada and Mexico to discuss economic cooperation, trade, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the supply chain crisis.

News of the new tripartite summit arose from Lopez Obrador’s questioning about alleged frictions between the United States and Mexico on labor matters and that it could distort the treaty.

After emphasizing that there was “no problem” with that, Andres Manuel outlined the issues that would be discussed at the next meeting with Joe Biden, scheduled for July 12. In this sense, he did not rule out discussing these observations with his counterpart, although he indicated that the central axis would be the same Bilateral affairs.
