Alberto Otárola will participate in the PDAC 2023 Mining Convention in Canada

The Prime Minister will be the keynote speaker at this important event that brings together more than 30,000 businessmen from more than 130 countries.

The Government has authorized the trip of the Prime Minister, Alberto Otarola, to the city of Toronto, Canada, where he will participate as a keynote speaker at the Canadian Prospectors and Developers Association Mining Convention (PDAC 2023).

According to Supreme Decree 048-2023-PCM, published in the Bulletin of the Legal Regulations of the Official Gazette El Peruano, the flight of Otárola Peñaranda is permitted from Sunday 5 to 8 March of this year.

In his absence, the Cabinet Office will be occupied by the Head of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, Hania Perez de Cuellar.

The PCM Chair will be present at Peru Day, scheduled for March 6th. The next day, Otarola and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, will hold a meeting with global investors and CEOs, in order to present investment opportunities in Peru.

The presence of the Peruvian delegation at PDAC 2023, led by the President of the PCM, and made up of the Ministers of Energy and Minerals, Óscar Vera Gargorević, and of Economy and Finance, underscores the importance the government attaches to the productive progress of mining, an essential part of promoting economic recovery and reducing poverty.

The part in question specifies that Alberto Utarola will participate as a keynote speaker at Ceo Luncheon, the Central Peruvian Lunch at the Canadian Prospectors and Developers Association (PDAC 2023), on March 7, 2023.

This mining agreement is the most important in the world with more than 30,000 entrepreneurs from more than 130 countries.

It also states that the PDCA represents more than 6,500 members around the world, who focus their work on supporting a competitive, responsible and sustainable mining sector.

In addition, it indicates that Peru participated in previous years as a sponsor of this meeting, highlighting the presence of higher authorities such as the Vice President of the Republic and the Ministers of State in the portfolio of economy and finance; energy and mines. So is the president of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru, among others.

Likewise, the report indicates that participation in the aforementioned event will enhance the positive image of Peru as a country that receives investments with institutions and companies seeking environmental excellence, social respect and community inclusion, in addition to that it will contribute to promoting active investments.

And the device adds: “In this sense, it is in the national interest to authorize the trip of Luis Alberto Otarola Peñaranda, President of the Council of Ministers, to the city of Toronto, Canada, to participate in the aforementioned event.”

The supreme decree bears the signature of the President of the Republic, Dina Boulwart. and Prime Minister Alberto Otarola.
