The Mexican pilot wants to repeat the previous weekend’s achievement

Mexican Sergio Perez (Red Bull), second in the World Championships Formula One -21 points behind fellow Dutchman Max Verstappen- is optimistic about this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, noting that they will face it “at an exciting moment for the team”, who lead both championships.

“We are going to Canada at an exciting time for the team. Having achieved the highest score possible in Baku – where he finished second behind Verstappen – it was a great result for all of us, as it keeps us in the fight for both titles,” commented “Checo”, born before 32 A year-old in Guadalajara (Jalisco), who won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last Sunday his 20th podium since the Formula 1 race.

“For me it was a frustrating day, in part; but when you have a frustrating day and you finish second and get the fastest lap of the race, you can’t say it went too badly,” Mexican Red Bull.

“This car does really well on the street circuits and we are optimistic that we will repeat a good showing this weekend which will allow us to continue the good run.”

“I will take some time to better understand the race in Baku with our engineers in an effort to extract the best from the weekend,” commented ‘Checo’, who signed two races ago, in Monaco, his third win since he was driving in Formula 1.

“Good Back to Canada. “It’s a circuit that I love to drive on and doing it there with this competitive car would be really fun,” said the Mexican, who is capping the ninth Grand Prix of the season.
