MEXICO CITY (apro). – According to a study by Bounce, a baggage storage company, ten airlines provide the worst service to users in the world, among them three Mexican companies: Viva Aerobus, Volaris and Interjet, all of which are inexpensive.
The study included 10 companies. Sputnik reported that Viva Air Columbia appeared first, followed by Viva Aerobus, Viva Airlines and the fifth Interjet.
In fourth place was Ireland’s Ryanair. In sixth place, Spain’s Vueling, followed by Easyjet from the United Kingdom, TAP, from Portugal, Ukraine International Airlines, from Ukraine, and finally Swoop from the Caribbean and North America.
The analysis was carried out based on the complaints received by users, in order to qualify those who provided the worst services in the world, based on criteria such as comfort, attention to staff, entertainment and the amount of baggage allowed on the plane. The plane and even the food they serve during the flight.
In the case of Viva Aerobus, it was confirmed to be the worst in the country, as it has an independent food procurement program; The same if the baggage exceeds 15 kg.
For its part, Volaris has accumulated 379 user complaints, mainly due to hand luggage being limited to 10 kilograms, and it is also poorly rated in terms of food, customer service, entertainment and comfort.
Interjet, whose operations are currently suspended, has received 490 complaints from Bounce users over poor customer service and the food and entertainment category.
Only Aeromexico has a passing score with 365 complaints.
In this regard, on December 2, the Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office (Profeco) issued an alert on Viva Aerobus to collect hand luggage.
“We spoke with three airlines operating in Mexico: Viva Aerobus, Volaris and Aeroméxico, to make them see that they must respect what the law says in our country, which is that any airline ticket must include, at least, one piece of hand baggage,” he noted. Ricardo Sheffield, owner of Profeco, a piece that weighed less than 10 kilos, we could ride and put on top of our seat.
In a 1:26-minute video, he noted that fortunately Aeroméxico and Volaris no longer ship hand luggage under 10 kilograms.
“As is also the case in the courts now, we will enforce the Viva Aerobus that it still does not accept that, in this country, it should be possible to have a handgrip on board and for this reason also, I ask that when purchasing Viva Aerobus tickets pay attention to that Viva Aerobús does not comply with the law.”
He added that, for this reason, they have issued an official warning against Viva Aerobus to Mexican consumers.
