USPS begins delivering mail to residents and businesses on streets currently closed to the public in Surfside

Surside, Florida. Mail delivery to many Surfside residents and businesses has been disrupted after the partial collapse of the Champlain South Towers last week, but police have begun allowing postal companies to deliver mail and parcels to those affected on streets currently closed to the public.

According to a press release, delivery continues to be temporarily suspended to these specific locations:

♦ Eighty Ship Park Condos at 8701 Collins Blvd.

♦ Solara Surfside Resort at 8801 Collins Blvd.

People at these locations can pick up their mail and packages from the Surfside Post Office at 250 95 Street. Identification is required.

Opening hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the post office is closed on Sundays.

Postal employees also continue to protect mail and parcels addressed to residents of the South Champlain Towers. This stuff is in the Surfside Post Office.
