It was revealed on Friday that the gunman behind the deadly mass shooting at Naval Air Station Pensacola may have also been a Saudi Islamic terrorist.
The shooting took place early Friday morning and left 4 dead and 7 injured. The suspected gunman behind the shooting was an aviation student flown in from Saudi Arabia to Florida to train with American troops.
The shooter, who has still not been named, was taken down by 2 Florida sheriff deputies in a firefight. The Deputies suffered injuries during the exchanged but are still alive. One suffered a gunshot to the arm, the other a gunshot to the knee.
In all eight victims were taken to the hospital after the mass shooting, with one having died since.
Both law enforcement and the U.S. military officials refuse to release any specific information about the assailant until AFTER the notification to the next of kin.
According to Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan, the crime scene was “like being on the set of a movie.”
White House press secretary Judd Deere said President Donald Trump “has been briefed on the shooting at Pensacola Naval Air Station… and is monitoring the situation.”
The situation is likely to bring back thoughts of the horrible September 11, 2001 terror attacks. These attacks were perpetrated by primarily Saudi Arabian pilots and coordinated by a top Saudi royal guard. Al Qaeda lead Osama Bin Laden himself was Saudi Arabian with strong ties to the Saudi royal family.
The attack also follows an order issued by the Islamic State to seek revenge for the recent death of their founder and leader, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi.
