Former Vice President Joe Biden seemingly forgot the name of the 3 women he is considering naming as his own Vice Presidential candidate during a Friday Townhall.
During his event, VP Biden was asked who he wanted for his 2020 running mate.
Joe Biden started out mentioning Sally Yates, the former Assistant Attorney General under Barack Obama, but not by name: “The former assistant attorney general who got fired who was just in Delaware.”
“The leader of the, uh, the, the woman who should’ve been the governor of Georgia, the African American woman…,” Biden said, referring to former Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams
“The, the two senators from the state of, uh, New Hampshire…,” he continued, in a nod to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Sen. Maggie Hassan.
.@JoeBiden was asked who he would pick as VP. Biden said there were lots of qualified candidates, but he didn’t want to name names because the press would think they were his pick but went on to talk specifically about @staceyabrams, @SenatorShaheen, @SenatorHassan & @SallyQYates pic.twitter.com/9zHBLvn0Ov

Clearly, in the video, Joe Biden does say he doesn’t want to name names so the press won’t claim they are his picks, however, gaffes like this have become a common thing for the former VP. It is also not uncommon for Joe to cover the gaffes with an excuse like that.
One such time was when he accidentally said that poor kids can be just as smart as white kids before he tried to cover it by naming off other races as well. He also seemingly forgot that Kamala Harris is a black senator during the last Democrat debate when he said he had been endorsed by the only black woman in the Senate.
What Biden was referring to that time was that the first black female Senator had endorsed him, not that Kamala Harris isn’t black.
Joe Biden and his family have also been embroiled in an international scandal alongside the impeachment attempts against President Trump. Biden’s son Hunter was given a very high paying job in Ukraine with zero qualifications while his dad was still Vice President. Joe Biden then forced Ukraine to fire the Prosecutor General who was investigating his son’s company 2 years later.
