Meghan McCain, host of The View, recently received backlash after tweeting out that Roger Stone should “Rot In Hell” after his conviction on Friday.

Former adviser to President Donald Trump, Roger Stone, was found guilty by a federal jury in Washington, D.C. on Friday during his statements at the obstruction trial.

Stone, 67, was arrested back in January in his home by a swarm of FBI agents on charges brought forth by at-the-time special counsel Robert Mueller as part of the Russia probe into President Trump.

President Trump immediately reacted to the verdict tweeting, “So they now convict Roger Stone of lying and want to jail him for many years to come. Well, what about Crooked Hillary, Comey, Strzok, Page, McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, Shifty Schiff, Ohr & Nellie, Steele & all of the others, including even Mueller himself? Didn’t they lie? A double standard like never seen before in the history of the country.”

Meghan McCain quickly got on twitter and reacted by tweeting “Rot in hell, Roger Stone.”

McCain’s response to the news is most likely in reference to what Stone said about her father last year.

“Enough already. I knew John McCain Well since he was In the House . A bitter cranky and vengeful man responsible for the death of 134 servicemen in on the Deck of the USS Forrestal and as corrupt as the come. RIP,” said Stone.

Many people thought that her tweet went too far.

Attorney Robert Barnes said, “Didn’t you complain when people said the same about your Dad?”

Conservative star, Mindy Robinson, tweeted out support her for her “friend” Roger Stone.

Some of her fans even said that they lost respect after the moment.
