Kourtney Kardashian, the eldest daughter in the Kardashian/Jenner clan, has left the building, fleeing Los Angeles and her family’s long-running reality show, in order to spend more time “just” being Mom.
Kourtney has starred in Keeping Up With the Kardashians since its inception in 2007. She’s 40 now, which means she’s been doing the show since she was 28 years old. Since, she’s had 3 kids: Mason (9), Penelope (7) and Reign (4).
Since leaving, she and her kids have been spending time at sister Kim and brother -in-law Kanye West’s Wyoming ranch. They’ve been enjoying horse back riding, as well as just running around outside. Something that’s probably difficult to do in Los Angeles, especially with cameras following your every move.
But that doesn’t appear to be all there is to her departure from LA and the show. Kourtney Kardashian appeared on the Real recently, and confirmed that her relationship with sister Kim Kardashian is pretty difficult.
According to Radar Online, “Kourtney has hated Kim for a couple of years now. She thinks she’s vapid and mean.” Furthermore, “[t]heir egos have clashed big time and when the cameras aren’t on, they don’t speak. There are hints of their feud, of course, but the reality is they genuinely can’t stand each other.”
I can certainly understand why Kourtney Kardashian would want to spend more time with her young kids, doing normal stuff, and not in front of a camera. I can also understand why she does not want to continue to subject herself and her kids to the tension between her and her sister Kim Kardashian. You know, usually siblings don’t continue to spend so much time with each other when they are in their late 30’s and 40’s, with spouses and kids. I imagine, quite frankly, that they are sick of each other by now, even if they love each other dearly.
